Abstract

The ability to understand concepts in learning needs to be emphasized because there are still many students who do not understand cell material in biology subjects. Cell material is material that is considered difficult for students, especially regarding cell structure for both female students and male students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the ability to understand concepts and students' gender regarding cell material. The research was conducted at SMAN I Pasirpenyu in class XI IPA which consisted of 34 students. This study uses a quantitative associative method. The data collection technique in this study was in the form of a written test. The data analysis technique uses three main steps, namely data description, assumption test and conclusion drawing. The results of the descriptive study showed that the average test result for the ability to understand the concept of female students was 78,143 while the average test result for the ability to understand the concept of male students was 72,077. The results of the hypothesis test using the correlation test obtained a value of Sig (2-tailed) <0.05). This shows that H1 is accepted, this means that there is a relationship between the ability to understand concepts and the gender of students.Keywords: Gender; Concept Understanding Ability; Cell.

Abstract

Article 1 paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia determines that Indonesia is a country based on law. To realize these ideals, the entire community and institutions that play an important role in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia must work hard, because creating a rule of law that complies with legal principles is not easy. One of the important instruments in realizing a rule of law state is Legislation, because Legislation is an instrument which is a direct reference in law enforcement. Legislation is a reflection of the embodiment of the concept of a rule of law that has been promoted by the founders of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Laws and regulations are needed by the people of Indonesia because these laws and regulations are rules that can guarantee life as a rule of law for all levels of society. The main purpose of forming laws and regulations is not only to create codification of the norms and values of life that have settled in people's lives but to create modifications or changes in people's lives.Keywords: Formation, Legislation, Indonesia.

Abstract

The existence of tourism in an area can be said to be a complex phenomenon in society. Here there is an attraction between tourist areas that have an attraction, the community or local residents, and the tourists themselves. Each tourist area certainly has its own charm to be visited by tourists. The problem of the attractiveness of tourist destinations really depends on the tastes of the tourists themselves, so managers or the local community must indirectly try to meet the tastes of visitors so that tourism in their area can be well received and enjoyed by tourists. The existence of trade both nationally and internationally ultimately encourages the growth of industries such as hotels, recreation areas and culinary tourism, of course. This is the main activity of regional tourism development. Not only culture is being sold, but also local wisdom and regional uniqueness. Modern tourism destinations are very complex and very capitalistic, thus modern tourism management must use accurate and measurable business management. The objective of organizing investment can only be achieved if the supporting factors hindering the investment climate can be overcome, among others by improving coordination between central and regional government agencies, creating an efficient bureaucracy, legal certainty in the investment sector, highly competitive economic costs, and a conducive business climate in the field of employment and business security. Determination of business fields, both closed and open for investment purposes has a very important meaning in the framework of investment in Indonesia. Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the role of community empowerment institutions (LPM) as partners for the Nagari Sarilamak government, Harau sub-district, Lima Puluh Kota district. In this study the author uses an empirical juridical approach. The empirical juridical approach means that apart from looking directly at the review of people's understanding of the settlement of traffic accident cases, the author also looks directly at what is happening in the field. The results of this study are the Role of Community Empowerment Institutions (LPM) in the Position of Community Empowerment Institutions (LPM) as partners of the Nagari Government. Community Empowerment Institute (LPM) Is a forum formed on the initiative of the community as a working partner of the Nagari Government in accommodating and realizing the aspirations and needs of the community in the field of development. This role can be seen in Permendagri Number 18 of 2018 to be precise in articles 4 and 5. The lack of participation of the Nagari community in activities planned by the Community Empowerment Institute (LPM) especially in the implementation of Nagari development planning, because Nagari Sarilamak is the center of the strategic area of the Regency Capital (IKK), of course this has an impact on social problems such as poverty, unemployment, slum areas and high population movements, this is where there are obstacles for the Community Empowerment Institution (LPM) in its role as a partner for the Nagari Sarilamak Government to reach out and establish working relationships with community as a whole. Abstract

Regional regulations are products of laws and regulations that arise as a result of regional autonomy policies according to the principle of decentralization so that regions have more or less the desire to advance their regions by issuing regional regulations that benefit their regions. Human rights content material in this case plays a very important role so that the ego advances the area so that it continues to run according to the rules and does not eliminate harmony with other laws and regulations or above. This study will discuss harmonization of content based on human rights values and principles in the formation of regional regulations in Indonesia using normative juridical research methods. The results of the study found that the Directorate General of Legislation of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in its implementation relied on the role of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights plays a role in the planning and formation of regional legislation products so that these regional legislative products remain within the unity of the national legal system which is subject to the values and principles of human rights. In particular, the Legal Sector has the task of carrying out activities in the field of preparing legal planning materials, and fostering legal documentation and information networks and coordinating regional legislation programs in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.Keywords: Harmonization, Values, Principles, Human Rights, Regional Regulations.

Abstract

Oral communication apprehension is one of the psychological factors.  Communication apprehension (CA) is defined as an individual’s level of fear or anxiety associated with their real or anticipated communication with another people.  The objective of this research is to know the level of English oral communication apprehension of students at English Study Program at STKIP Insan Madani Airmolek. The research is quantitative research. It was conducted at students of English Study Program of   STKIP Insan Madani AirmolekThe instrument used in this research is questionnaire. In this research, the technique analysis date were collecting the data, categorized the data based on indicators, describe the data and make conclusion.  The research result showed that the level of English oral communication was in moderate level for 60% of students, 30% students was on high level communication apprehension and 10% was on low oral communication apprehension.   Keywords: English speaking skill, Oral communication apprehension, students

Abstract

Covid-19 sudah setahun masuk ke Indonesia, bahkan di berbagai negara. semua kegiatan telah dihentikan karena pandemi, termasuk pendidikan. Pemerintah bertekad untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran online hingga batas waktu yang tidak pasti. pembelajaran online, yaitu proses belajar mengajar melalui suatu media atau aplikasi yang terjadi antara guru dan siswa. Dalam pembelajaran online, persepsi siswa akan muncul dalam pembelajaran. Persepsi bisa disebut tindakan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang proses pembelajaran online.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif . Participan dari penelitian adalah dari angkatan 2017-2019 mahasiswa prodi pendidikan bahasa inggris di STKIP Abdi Payakumbuh tahun ajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Metode yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data yaitu dengan kuisioner. Kemudian untuk menganalis data,peneliti menggunakan langkah langkah yang dikemukakan oleh Gay et.al (2012:239) yaitu : data managing,reading/memoing,classifying,interpreting,dan writing report.Setelah melakukan penelitian,dapat dilihat hasil nya secara umum adalah siswa memiliki persepsi yang tidak bagus (99,09) terhadap pembelajaran daring yang dilakukan oleh kampus STKIP Abdi Payakumbuh. Jadi dapat dikatakan baahwa pembelajaran daring tidak bisa membuat siswa mengerti tentang materi dari pembelajaran,tidak bisa menambah pengetahuan dalam bahasa inggris.Kata kunci: persepsi siswa,belajar online

Abstract

The background of this research is the discovery of problems related to quality of work life and work productivity at The Sanchaya Bintan. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of quality of work life on employee work productivity. The type of research used in this research is quantitative with a causal associative approach. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The population of this research is the employees of The Sanchaya Bintan. The research sample was 100 respondents using the non-probability sampling method and the type of non-probability sampling used was saturated sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire (questionnaire), whose validity and reliability were tested with a Likert scale. The data for this study were processed using SPSS 22.00. The results of this study indicate that the quality of work life is in the fairly good category at 67.7%. In addition, the work productivity variable is in the fairly good category at 68.1%. The effect of quality of work life (X) and work productivity (Y) obtained an R square value of 0.259, meaning that the effect of quality of work life on work productivity is 25.9%. In addition, the results of simple linear regression analysis produce a calculated F value of 34,215 sig. 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the variable quality of work life has a significant effect on work productivity, and the t value is 5,849 with sig. 0.000 < 0.05.Keywords: Quality of Work Life, Work Productivity, Employee, Hotel

Abstract

This research is a historical study that discusses the development of PDAM (Regional Water Company) Tirta Dharma Solok City in 1984-2020. The problem that the author raises is regarding the development of PDAM Tirta Dharma from year to year according to the era of its leadership. This type of research includes qualitative research with historical research methods. In this historical research, there are several steps, namely heuristics (collecting data), source criticism (conducting criticism of existing sources), interpretation (conducting interpretations related to historical facts) and historiography (writing history). In 1982 the Solok City Regional Drinking Water Company was formed as a BUMD (Regional Owned Enterprise) of the Solok City government. Full management by the government of Solok City has been carried out since 1984. The results of the study show that the development of PDAM Tirta Dharma, Solok City has increased every year. Developments in the clean water infrastructure sector, clean water production, and the scope of clean water services. The Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Dharma, Solok City, is still experiencing problems in management. Constraints such as distribution pipe leaks, not yet optimal service coverage.Keywords: PDAM Solok City, Development, Management

Abstract

Quality, transparent and fair elections are the main foundation for the continuation of a healthy democracy. To achieve this, education on election supervision for the public plays an important role in ensuring an election process with integrity and prioritizing the principles of fairness and integrity. This article reviews the importance of election supervision education and its implications in realizing the principles of fairness and integrity of elections. First, election supervision education provides an in-depth understanding of the public regarding the electoral process, including the rules that apply and their roles and responsibilities in the process. With a good understanding, the public can actively participate in monitoring and ensure that elections run according to democratic principles. Second, election supervision education equips the public with the necessary supervisory skills, such as monitoring campaign activities, voting and vote counting. These skills include understanding control protocols, using information technology, and reporting monitoring results. With these skills, the community can carry out supervision effectively and accurately. Furthermore, election supervision education also emphasizes the importance of supervisory ethics, including neutrality, honesty and professionalism in carrying out supervisory duties. The community is given an understanding of the importance of maintaining integrity and fairness in carrying out supervisory duties, so as to create an environment of supervision with integrity and trustworthiness. Finally, election supervision education encourages collaboration and monitoring networks between communities, civil society organizations, and related institutions. Through this collaboration, information exchange, coordination of monitoring activities, and mutual support in reporting and following up on election violations can be carried out more effectively. This article underscores the importance of education for election supervision for society in realizing the principles of fairness and integrity. With proper education, it is hoped that the community can play an active and responsible role in maintaining the integrity of elections, overseeing their implementation, and reporting and following up on violations that occur. Thus, elections that are democratic, fair and with integrity can be realized.Keywords: Supervision, Elections, Society.
